Juanita Wijnands
Born in Maracaibo, Juanita spent a large part of her childhood in Venezuela. She attended Malvern Girls’ College in Great Britain before finishing her secondary education in the Netherlands. She worked for a number of international companies before joining J. Walter Thompson Company as an advertising executive. She has a NIMA A marketing degree.
With her family she has lived in Latin-America (Colombia and Brazil) as well as in South East Asia (Brunei). After settling back in the Netherlands in 1992, she was active for the Royal Tropical Institute as an intercultural trainer specialising in intercultural communication and management issues with a special interest in Latin America. In 2001 she joined the ITIM group based in the Netherlands. Some of the client companies she has worked for are: Philips, Shell, Unilever, KLM, DSM, Heineken, KPN.
Juanita is bilingual in Dutch and English, fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese, French and German.
